16. (Conhuised).

Licence is hereby granted by His Excellency Francis Henry

May C.M.G. The Officer Administering the Government and

Commander in Chief of the colony of Hong Kong end its Depen-

dencies und Vice Admiral of the Same To the Taikoo Sugar

Refining Company Limited the owners of Inland Lot No. 1336

their successors and assigns to lay and maintain over Crown

Land adjoining the gaid Lot a 6 inch pipe or pipes in connec-

tion with the existing water supply on the said lct as shown

on the plan deposited in the Land Office together with a

duplicate of this licence and therock coloured red and blue

and also to build and maintain oa Crown Lund adjoining the

scid lot a brick catch pit in connection with the said water

supply as shown on the said plan and marked "proposed catch

pit" upon the following terms and conditions:-

The ssid Company shall pay to the Colonial Treasurer for

the use of the Government of Hong Kong the sum of Ten

dollars per annum in advance on the 1st day of January

in each year so long as this licence is in force.

This

icence may be revoked at any time on the Director

of Public Works on behalf of the officer for the time

being administering the Government of Hong Kong giving

to the said Company their successors or assigns 3 calen-

dar months notice in writing to that effect and at the

expiration of such 3 calendar months this Licence shall

be decked null aud volā.

The said Company shall previously to the expiration of

auch 3 calendar months notice as aforesaid remove the

said pipe or pipes and the scif catoh pit making good

any dimage cursed by such remoral.
